Charles Kane is a member of Symbotic’s Board of Directors. Before Symbotic became a public company, he served as a member of the advisory board of Symbotic’s then-parent entity, Warehouse Technologies LLC, from October 2020. He has been a lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 2006 and is currently an adjunct professor of International Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Charles is a Director and Strategic Advisor of One Laptop Per Child, a non-profit that provides computing and internet access for students in the developing world and was formerly its President and CEO. Previously, Charles was a founding investor and CFO of Global BPO Services Corp., a special purpose acquisition corporation. Charles was also the CFO of RSA Security (acquired by EMC); CFO of Aspen Technology; President and CEO of Corechange, Inc. (acquired by Open Text Corp.); and CFO of Informix Software (acquired by IBM).

Charles currently serves as a Board of Director at Alkami Technology, Inc. and Progress Software Corp. He previously served on the boards of Applix Inc., Borland Software Corporation, Carbonite, Inc. Demandware Inc., Netezza Corporation, and RealPage, Inc.

Charles is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an M.B.A. in international finance from Babson College and a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame
